Jelenia Góra criminal investigators arrested two women suspected of fraud. They are a 39-year-old resident of Wrocław County and a 45-year-old resident of Środa County. – As officers established, the women had been providing escort services to men for several years. They arranged meetings with clients online—men who, for various reasons, are reluctant to report such incidents to law enforcement authorities – explains Sub-Inspector Edyta Bagrowska of KMP.

The incident took place on January 25 this year. The spokesperson said: – The suspects rented an apartment in central Jelenia Góra, where they arranged to meet a resident of Świdnica County. During the meeting, the women allegedly gave the man an unknown intoxicating substance in his alcohol.

Then, taking advantage of his condition, they persuaded him to generate and hand over BLIK codes, which they used to withdraw money from an ATM.

Police established that the codes obtained were used to carry out a total of five transactions for a total amount of nearly PLN 5,000.

When the man realized that he had fallen victim to a crime, he notified the police. Sub-Inspector E. Bagrowska said: – Officers handling the case carried out a series of operational and analytical activities, which enabled them to establish the identities of the suspected women and then arrest them.

Both women have already been charged with fraud. They will stand trial for the crime. They face up to 8 years in prison.

Police officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail and checking whether the arrested women may have committed more offenses of this type.
