Speeding driver overtook where prohibited, received 26 penalty points. He will have to take the exam again

Yesterday, on the roads of Bolesławiec County, traffic police carried out an operation called “Speed”.

The result? The police report:

During 39 checks, officers found 25 traffic violations, 19 of which involved exceeding the speed limit.

Three drivers lost their driving licences for three months due to excessive speed. Outside a built-up area, a resident of Greater Poland Voivodeship exceeded the speed limit by 58 km/h. A motorcyclist from Bolesławiec County was travelling at 149 km/h where the limit was 90 km/h.

Meanwhile, a resident of Bolesławiec lost his driving licence for speeding in a built-up area: where the limit was 40 km/h, he was travelling at 105 km/h.

The officers said: – Moreover, one of the drivers received 26 penalty points at once for overtaking in a prohibited place and excessive speed. As a result, he will have to retake the driving test.

Spring’s beautiful weather encourages people to drive faster. However, we appeal for common sense and caution on the road. Traffic police officers have announced further operations of this kind.
