The incident occurred on March 6, at around 2:40 p.m., in one of the multi-family buildings in Jelenia Góra. – At that time, the victim was cleaning the apartment – reports Sub-Inspector Edyta Bagrowska from the local Municipal Police Headquarters. – At one point, she heard her neighbor shouting outside.
When the woman went outside to check what was happening, she saw the 48-year-old brandishing an air rifle and threatening her and her husband with death. The spokesperson said: – As it turned out, the man's aggressive behavior was caused by his belief that his neighbors were disturbing his peace and making noise.
The man was clearly agitated and aggressive, and was also under the influence of alcohol.
Frightened neighbors, fearing for their lives and health, immediately notified the Police about the entire situation.
The result? Sub-Inspector E. Bagrowska:
The officers who arrived at the scene arrested the aggressor and took him to police custody to sober up and undergo further procedural activities. A test showed that he had nearly 2‰ of alcohol in his system.
The following day, the 48-year-old was charged with making criminal threats. Under the applicable regulations, this type of offense is punishable by up to 2 years in prison. The man's further fate will now be decided by the court.
