Last week, the duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Lubin was informed by employees of a restaurant about property damage. – According to the report, an unknown man drove up to the premises, lowered the car window and fired several shots at the building – reports sub-commissioner Sylwia Serafin from the local District Police Headquarters. – As a result of the incident, two panes of glass in the displays located in the gable wall of the restaurant were damaged. The losses were estimated at approximately 6,000 zlotys.

The matter was immediately taken up by officers from the Criminal Division of the Lubin command. Spokesperson:

Thanks to effective operational activities and good knowledge of the area, officers arrested the man suspected of the act the next morning. He turned out to be a 25-year-old city resident.

Criminal investigators searched the Lubin resident’s home and the vehicle he had used the previous day. As a result, they secured nearly half a kilogram of methamphetamine and 500 retail portions of marijuana. The estimated black-market value of the drugs was approximately 75,000 zlotys.

That was not all. The officers also found the ASG pistol used by the man to fire the shots. Police: – We remind you that no permit is required for this type of pistol.

The officers also secured a signal jammer, a machete and ammunition for which the 25-year-old did not have the required permit.

The Lubin resident was placed in a police cell. He has already been charged. He will be held responsible for possessing and trafficking a significant quantity of drugs, exposing people inside and near the restaurant to the immediate danger of loss of life or serious bodily harm, as well as possessing ammunition without the required permit.

Based on the evidence collected by the officers, the court ordered the 25-year-old’s temporary detention. He may face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
