The incident occurred on 25 October at around 10:30 a.m. on Wolności Street in Jelenia Góra. Officers from the prevention department noticed a cyclist who ignored a red light.

The police stopped him for an inspection. The 18-year-old was visibly nervous, which aroused the officers’ suspicion. During the search, they found drugs on him.

However, the officers’ actions did not end there. The police also checked the young man’s home address. There, they seized a significant quantity of marijuana, from which more than 300 individual doses for sale could be prepared, as well as hallucinogenic mushrooms.

The 18-year-old was detained and formally charged with possessing a significant quantity of narcotic substances. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

The police remind everyone using the roads that they are required to obey traffic regulations. Ignoring a red light can lead to dangerous situations and put both the rider and other people at risk.
