The birth of a child is a special moment for parents and their loved ones. At the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, the occasion also provided an opportunity to emphasise how important soldiers’ families are to the military community.

As part of the nationwide Ministry of National Defence project “Witamy w Rodzinie Wojskowej”, the commander of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment presented one of the soldiers with a commemorative layette for his newborn child. The family also received a commemorative welcome letter from the Minister of National Defence.

The military welcomes its youngest family members

Presenting the layette was a symbolic gesture intended to emphasise that the military community includes not only those serving, but also their immediate families. Families accompany soldiers in their daily lives and support them in meeting the demands of military service.

The “Witamy w Rodzinie Wojskowej” project provides an opportunity to highlight the importance of this support and welcome children born into families connected with the military.

Representatives of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment offered the parents their heartfelt congratulations. They wished the youngest member of the military family, above all, health, joy and a carefree childhood.
