The meeting, titled “Secrets Beneath the Hotel”, will be led by Grzegorz Jaworski. He will present the results of archaeological research conducted during the hotel expansion and talk about the finds that came to light during the earthworks.
The discovered cellars and the objects found in their vicinity are an interesting trace of the past. Archaeological research makes it possible to examine what the development of this area looked like in the past and which keepsakes left by its former users survived underground.
Participants will be able not only to learn about the results of the archaeological work, but also to see selected artefacts discovered during the research. A mini-exhibition will be prepared and can be viewed thanks to the courtesy of the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec.
The lecture is an opportunity to learn about a lesser-known part of Bolesławiec’s history and find out what secrets were hidden by the site where the hotel now operates.
The event will take place on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the ibis Styles Bolesławiec hotel. Admission is free.
