The head of the city administration Piotr Roman also mentioned at the session that he had had the opportunity to meet, among others, with the director of the Lower Silesian Roads and Railways Service. The mayor said:
The “Fort Trump” slogan allows us to present a different argument for the need to accelerate construction of the Bolesławiec bypass. There are certain problems with this. It is not a question of whether it will be built or not. But special supervision is needed.
Piotr Roman stressed that the issue now concerns Poland’s security and the movement of troops. And he noted:
That is why this bypass is so important. Construction of the northeastern section of the bypass will relieve the existing central route.
