The incident occurred on Saturday, August 8, before 4:00 p.m. We received the information and photos from a reader.
According to his account, a police car was pulling out from Modłowa Street with its emergency signals on. The driver of the white car wanted to give way to it, but the next driver, in the silver car, failed to brake and drove into the vehicle ahead – the reader reports.
According to him, no injured people could be seen at the scene.
One of the places where particular caution is required
The intersection of Modłowa and Cieszkowskiego streets, along the Bolesławiec bypass, has for years been one of the places where collisions and accidents occur. The istotne.pl archive contains many examples of such incidents – including serious ones.
Drivers should exercise particular caution here, carefully observe the situation on the road and not assume that other road users will correctly assess the right of way.
The same applies to the intersection of Dolne Młyny and Wróblewskiego streets. This is also a place that has been identified for years as problematic in terms of safety. City authorities considered building a roundabout there, specifically because of driver safety.
At both locations, it is therefore worth slowing down, remaining alert and, above all, not blindly trusting that other drivers will always behave as they should.
