As reported by the eluban.pl service: The report reached the police duty officer in Lubań at approximately 2:50 p.m. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. The girl was conscious and was transported to hospital. No official information about her health has been released so far.
According to the officers’ preliminary findings, the 34-year-old man was caring for his five-year-old daughter. The child fell from the balcony of an apartment on the fourth floor of a multi-family building on Szkolna Street in Olszyna.
The police determined that the man was intoxicated. The test showed 1.7 per mille of alcohol in his system, Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, spokesperson for the Lubań police, told the eluban.pl service.
The 34-year-old was detained and taken to police custody. Procedural activities involving him will be carried out once he sobers up.
Police officers and a forensic technician worked at the scene. The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lubań. The circumstances and course of the incident are being established.
