The film “Gucha! Trumpet Duel,” starring Marko Marković in the lead role, was shown at Forum Cinema. The musician met viewers after the screening and answered their questions.
Viewers asked about the artist’s age and musical training. Marko is 23 and did not graduate from a professional music school. He is a talented self-taught musician from a family of musicians.
Marko said that he did not win the competition in Gucha, but often played there successfully for his fans. He is also still in contact with his film partner—the beautiful Julijana. They live close to each other, in towns 20 km apart.
The film "Gucha! Trumpet Duel" was shot during an authentic festival. It tells a well-known love story. Julijana, the daughter of the famous Serbian trumpeter Satchmo Trandafilovic, falls in love with Romeo, who plays in the rival band, the Roma Sandokan’s Tigers. Their path to happiness is beset by trouble, and only a trumpet duel between Romeo and Julijana’s father can resolve the problems and bring the young couple together.
Among the audience, the organizers, BOK-MCC, held a mini-competition. The prizes were CDs featuring music from the film "Gucha! Trumpet Duel," donated by Marko Markovicz.
