It is with regret that we inform you that the search for a 28-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra, whose disappearance was reported on February 3 this year in the evening, has ended. According to the information received, the man went fishing 🎣 near the Sosnówka Reservoir on January 25 this year and had not contacted his loved ones since.

Unfortunately, the man's body was found during the search operation. It has been secured for an autopsy, which will establish the exact cause of death. At this stage, everything points to an unfortunate accident. The circumstances of the incident will be investigated in detail.

Numerous forces and resources were involved in the search. The operation was conducted by police officers from Jelenia Góra in cooperation with firefighters from the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Jelenia Góra, including a specialist sonar team from Wrocław, as well as the Underwater Operations Team of the Provincial State Fire Service Headquarters in Wrocław.
