Icy Roads in Bolesławiec and County: Authorities Urge Caution

Winter has once again taken its toll on residents of the county. Icy roads and pavements are making it significantly more difficult to get around the city and municipalities. The authorities assure residents that the services responsible for winter road maintenance are working at full capacity. The city appeals: if you do not have to go out, stay at home and take care of your safety.

As reported this morning by the City of Bolesławiec:

Attention! Very difficult road conditions prevail in Bolesławiec. All municipal services are working to improve the situation related to icy roads and pavements. If you can, stay at home.

As we read on the website of Gmina Bolesławiec:

Winter is not letting up, and demanding conditions prevail on the roads of Gmina Bolesławiec. The services responsible for winter road maintenance are working at full capacity to ensure passability and safety. We are operating according to the plan for the 2025/2026 season, with the support of local farmers, businesses and OSP units ready to help.

However, remember that even the best-cleared road is no substitute for common sense. Please exercise particular caution, adjust your speed to the conditions and maintain safe distances.

The authorities add:

We also remind you that snow removal is the responsibility of different road managers, depending on the road category. If you encounter difficulties, reports should be directed to the appropriate telephone numbers:
