On Friday, before noon, officers from the Traffic Division conducted checks in Wieża. – At one point, they noticed a Ford whose driver was already known to them for a similar offense. The officers suspected that the man was still disregarding the court-imposed driving ban – reports junior aspirant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the Lwówek KPP.

The police officers’ suspicions were quickly confirmed. Behind the wheel was a 64-year-old resident of Lwówek County who, despite the ban in force, once again decided to drive a car. The spokesperson: – The man tried to avoid the traffic check by using unusual “security measures” consisting of aluminum foil and hung CDs. As it turned out, this protection did not produce the desired effect.

The driver was arrested and will now once again have to face justice. The police:

We remind you that failure to comply with a court-ordered driving ban is a crime punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

And adds:

The police appeal for common sense and compliance with the applicable regulations. Any disregard for a court decision poses a real threat to the safety of all road users.
