City councillors will adopt a special resolution at the next session. The resolution will concern installing a plaque in the wall of the town hall to commemorate Father Karol Wojtyła’s stay in Bolesławiec.
On September 1, 1956, ten years after being ordained a priest, Father Karol Wojtyła stayed in our city. At that time, he celebrated Mass at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, now a shrine.
