The arrest took place yesterday afternoon in Przemków. – Officers from the Police Station in Przemków decided to check the driver of a BMW passenger car. During a conversation with the 53-year-old resident of the region, the officers became suspicious about his psychophysical condition – reports junior inspector Przemysław Rybikowski, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Polkowice.
The patrol officers’ police intuition did not let them down. A drug test produced a positive result. The spokesperson said: – The device indicated that amphetamine and methamphetamine were present in the man’s system.
That was not the end of the 53-year-old’s troubles, however. During a detailed search of his clothing, police officers found a small package containing white crystals. Preliminary tests confirmed that the substance seized was amphetamine.
The arrested man was taken to the District Police Headquarters in Polkowice and then to a local medical facility, where blood was drawn for further laboratory tests.
Ultimately, the 53-year-old was charged with driving a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants and possessing drugs.

Under the applicable regulations, the suspect faces up to 3 years in prison for the offenses committed, a substantial fine and a multi-year driving ban. The court will decide his further fate.
