On 8 October 2025, officers of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra noticed a man on Obrońców Pokoju Street in Jelenia Góra who had visible head injuries. His clothes were torn and he had cuts on his hands. During a conversation with the police officers, the man stated that he had been robbed moments earlier: the assailant had sprayed tear gas in his face and taken the keys to his Toyota Urban Cruiser.

During the incident, the perpetrator pulled at the victim’s clothing, hit him on the head with his hands and threatened him with a knife, cutting his trousers and jacket with it. While defending himself against the blows, the victim suffered cuts to his right thumb and a finger of his left hand.

The man knew the assailant because, in September 2025, he had let him spend one night at his home. He testified that this was not the first such attack by the perpetrator against him, as a similar incident had occurred on 28 September 2025.

At that time, the accused got into his car, held a knife to his thigh and demanded that he hand over his Samsung A54 mobile phone. Then, threatening to use the knife, he forced him to drive to an ATM and buy the phone back from him for PLN 500. Fearing the man, the victim complied with his demand.

The accused did not admit to committing the offences with which he was charged and refused to give an explanation. He committed the alleged acts while serving under conditions of recidivism.

He is awaiting trial in pre-trial detention, as the District Court in Jelenia Góra, at the request of the District Prosecutor, ordered his temporary detention.

The offences with which he is charged carry a prison sentence of between 3 and 20 years.
