Today, shortly after 7:00 a.m., a serious road accident occurred. A woman driving an Opel towards Lubań lost control of the vehicle on a bend and collided with an oncoming tractor-trailer.
The truck driver, trying to avoid the worst, moved onto the shoulder, but his maneuver was stopped by crash barriers. As a result, there was no direct head-on collision.
The Opel hit the side of the cab head-on, on the passenger side, where fortunately no one was sitting. Nevertheless, the woman driving the passenger car suffered serious injuries, and the incident was classified as an accident.
The road at the scene is completely blocked. Drivers are forced to use detours along narrow roads through Szyszkowa.
Driving conditions on the roads are difficult. The road surfaces are icy in places.
