Due to recent events in railway areas, the Prime Minister introduced the third-level CHARLIE alert, which applies to railway lines. The main objectives of the operation are to counter acts of sabotage and subversion, protect railway infrastructure, and ensure public safety and order.

The “TOR” operation consists of activities carried out by police officers throughout Poland in the vicinity of tracks, stations, and railway sidings. Due to their specific nature and strategic importance, these areas require special attention.

During patrols, officers cooperate with Railway Protection Guard employees and soldiers from the Territorial Defence Forces. Joint duties are carried out both as foot and motorized patrols. Inspections cover publicly accessible locations as well as less frequently visited areas where attempts to damage property or other activities that could disrupt the functioning of rail traffic may occur.

We appeal to everyone to exercise particular caution in railway areas. If you notice people behaving suspiciously, staying in prohibited locations, or spot any irregularities related to railway infrastructure, please immediately notify the services by calling the emergency number 112. Every report matters and may help prevent threats.
