The construction of the roller-skating track in Bolesławiec is gathering pace. Intensive work is under way at Wiadukt Plaza, in the area of the Bolesławiec viaduct, on the creation of an open track for roller skaters and inline skaters. The investment is to create a new, multifunctional sports and recreation space for residents.
The investment includes, among other things, a speed section intended for fast skating, a special area for training, learning slalom and playing roller hockey, as well as a recreational route. The whole complex will be complemented by zones intended for rest and meetings.
The project also includes comprehensive development of the site. New pedestrian approaches and circulation routes will be created, and the course of the existing route in the north-western part of the site will also be rebuilt. A driveway and car park are also planned.

LED lighting and monitoring covering the track and car park are to ensure users’ safety and comfort. Elements of street furniture will also appear at the roller-skating track, including benches, waste bins, bicycle racks and signs displaying the rules for using the facility.
Importantly, in favourable weather conditions and with the infrastructure properly prepared, during the winter the roller-skating track will also be able to serve as a cross-country skiing track.
The investment is being carried out as part of the project “Creation of multifunctional activity spaces for the local community through the construction of an open track for roller skaters and inline skaters on the Boulevard along the Bóbr River and a sports field at Graniczna Street in Bolesławiec”.
