Officers from the Police Station in Pieńsk were dispatched to a collision. – The driver of a Škoda was reported to have driven into the fence of one of the properties in the Węgliniec municipality – reports Superintendent Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the District Police Commander in Zgorzelec. – At the scene, police officers established that the 64-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County was intoxicated. The test showed that he had almost two per mille of alcohol in his system.
She adds: – The driver will now face court proceedings for driving while intoxicated. He faces up to 3 years in prison, a heavy fine and a driving ban.
