Road police officers stopped a 55-year-old foreigner who was driving a truck while intoxicated. Police: – The man was apprehended by a patrol during Monday’s intensified operation called “Alcohol and Drugs”. A breathalyzer test showed that the Ukrainian citizen had 0.7 per mille of alcohol in his system. On this basis, the man was detained and taken to a police detention facility.
Then officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn brought the 55-year-old to court, where he received a verdict for the crime he had committed under an expedited procedure.
What was the court’s ruling?
After reviewing the case files, the court imposed a three-year driving ban, a fine and a monetary payment of PLN 5,000 to the Fund for Assistance to Victims and Post-Penitentiary Assistance.
After the hearing, the road offender was handed over to officers of the Border Guard in Zgorzelec to initiate the procedure for deportation from the territory of the Republic of Poland.
