During the November session of the Bolesławiec City Council, councillors had the opportunity to listen to a presentation on the revitalization of facilities in Bolesławiec. One of them is our PKP railway station.

Mayor Piotr Roman:

I could tell you at length how we forced PKP and why they chose our railway station. I will only say that sometimes you have to use a ruse.

He immediately elaborated on this point:

The ruse was that I announced that I wanted to take over the station. I asked them to prepare the documentation. When they had prepared the documentation, after examining it more closely, we decided not to take it over.

But the documentation already existed. And when European funds became available for renovating railway facilities, it was precisely thanks to this documentation that the one in Bolesławiec became one of the first three railway stations in Lower Silesia to undergo revitalization. (Along with those in Węgliniec and Szklarska Poręba.)
