Our Reader asked us to publicize the matter. He wrote: “Joining the traffic from Kaszubska Street near the post office probably does not fully comply with the regulations. When leaving a one-way street and turning left (onto Chrobrego Street), one should position the car on the left side of the roadway. On Chrobrego, however, there is a double solid line, while the broken line is painted in such a way that it forces the driver to leave from the right side of the roadway.” He added: “If this were a driving test, the candidate would be on the final stretch before failing.”

Adriana Szajwaj, spokesperson for the Bolesławiec police, explains that everything depends on where the driver leaving Kaszubska positions the car. If, before turning left, the driver positions the car closer to the center of the roadway, they will not cross the double solid line. Otherwise, they will commit an offense. “But this is certainly not a situation posing a threat to road safety,” the spokesperson emphasizes. “The police do not intend to issue a penalty for this offense committed at this location until the current traffic organization is changed.”
