It was supposed to be a quick visit: delivering clothes to a detained friend. However, the man who drove up to the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica attracted the officers’ attention because he had parked where parking was prohibited. As the officers report:

Yesterday evening, police officers noticed a man driving an Opel who had parked in an area covered by a parking prohibition. When he saw the patrol, the man quickly moved the car.

During the conversation, he behaved nervously and was visibly agitated. A drug tester confirmed that the 33-year-old was under the influence of drugs.

That was not the end of it. The officers searched the vehicle and found packets containing a crystalline white substance. Testing showed that it was methamphetamine.

The result? The man was detained, blood was drawn from him for testing, and his driving licence was confiscated against a receipt. Ultimately, he was taken to police custody.

It was established that he had come to the headquarters because he wanted to give clothes to a friend detained for drugs. Ultimately, he joined him there himself.

Police remind the public:

  • Driving under the influence of drugs is a crime punishable by up to 3 years in prison,
  • Possession of drugs also carries criminal liability.

Police headquarters: – The vigilance of police officers once again removed from the road a driver who could have posed a danger to others.
