Officers from the Traffic Department of the Bolesławiec police station stopped an intoxicated motorcycle rider while patrolling the city at night. Before midnight, on one of the streets of Bolesławiec, the police noticed that the rider of the motorized two-wheeler was clearly having difficulty maintaining his course.
After stopping the 47-year-old and conducting a sobriety test, it turned out that he had over 2 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The officers also established that the motorcycle ridden by the resident of Bolesławiec County did not have a valid roadworthiness test or mandatory third-party liability insurance.
The officers confiscated the driver's licence and the vehicle's registration certificate, and the motorcycle was secured in a guarded car park.
Driving while intoxicated carries a penalty of up to 3 years in prison, a long-term loss of the driving licence and financial consequences.
