The motorcyclist’s reckless riding ended with his driving licence being confiscated. The 30-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County accelerated his motorcycle to 157 km/h in a built-up area. Police officers established that he had also committed a series of other dangerous offences.
Police officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec police headquarters stopped a motorcyclist whose manner of riding posed a serious threat to other road users.
As the man entered a built-up area, he was travelling at as much as 157 km/h. This constituted a serious speeding offence, but it was not the rider’s only violation.
The 30-year-old crossed a double solid line repeatedly. He also overtook other vehicles at a marked pedestrian crossing and at an intersection.
That was not the end of his dangerous riding. At a speed exceeding 150 km/h, the motorcyclist lifted the motorcycle and continued riding on one wheel.
During the inspection, police officers also checked the vehicle’s formal status. It turned out that the motorcycle did not have a valid mandatory technical inspection. The deadline for carrying it out had expired in May this year.
The motorcyclist has already faced one consequence for speeding. Officers confiscated his driving licence for three months.
However, this is not the end of the case. The 30-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County will appear before the court for the other offences he committed.
