Five hundred people are expected to attend the gala. They will mainly be hospital employees, but 50 places have been reserved for guests: local government officials and politicians, who are also expected to give short speeches during the official part.
The gala programme may be dazzling. The invitation states that there will be a concert by Dziubek Band and Kamil Bednarek—a combination of an orchestra and one of the biggest stars of the Polish music scene. The entire event will be hosted by Tomasz Kammel. During the Gala, the “St. Luke’s Angels” statuettes will be presented. Guests will be offered an exquisite dinner in an elegant setting, a dessert table with a cake, a photo booth and a 360° booth, where they will be able to take a commemorative photograph. One of the attractions is to be a dance party with a DJ and a gift for every participant.
We asked who is covering the costs of organising the gala.
“Szpital w Bolesławcu is not the organiser of the gala and is not covering the expenses for this purpose; the event is being organised by the hospital-affiliated Wspierajmy Zdrowie Foundation,” explained Kamil Barczyk. “The same applies to many other events organised in the Bolesławiec and Lwówek counties. The foundation organises between 20 and 30 such events during the year. The Wspierajmy Zdrowie Foundation operates transparently, and all expenses related to the event will be properly documented and made available as part of its financial reports,” the director added.
We also asked about the purpose of organising the Gala after six years of Kamil Barczyk managing the hospital.
“The Gala will summarise the facility’s activities and provide an opportunity to recognise the people who have made a particular contribution to its development,” the director explained. “The event will have a two-part structure: an official part including the presentation of awards, presentations on the hospital’s current and future activities, and expressions of thanks, followed by a cultural and artistic section. It should be emphasised that more than 1,200 people now work at the hospital, and this is a necessary initiative that will unify communication within the team and set further development directions. Many hospital employees became involved in organising the event on their own initiative and provided substantial support to the organiser, and all these people should be unequivocally thanked for this,” Barczyk added.
The Gala is closed to the general public; only people with personalised invitations may attend.
