The City Council issued a statement announcing financial assistance for the hospital. The County Office is to receive the money in the form of a loan. This loan is to be used to restructure the county hospital. The condition for receiving the money is that it be used in the hospital’s recovery process.
According to the councillors, a situation in which patients from the city and county are deprived of medical care must not occur. The City Council appealed to the provincial and local-government authorities, as well as to the trade unions operating at the Healthcare Facility, to support the hospital’s restructuring process.
