On the prosecutor’s orders, 9 people suspected of operating in an organized criminal group involved in distributing the psychotropic substance methamphetamine were detained on October 1, 2025, in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. – After being brought before the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, the suspects were charged with participating, from January 26, 2024, to July 24, 2024, in an organized criminal group and introducing into circulation no less than 5,585 grams of the psychotropic substance methamphetamine, with a total value of no less than PLN 558,550 – reports Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra.
The suspects face up to 12 years in prison. Spokesperson: – Non-custodial preventive measures were applied to all suspects, namely bail ranging from PLN 2,000 to PLN 25,000, police supervision and a ban on leaving the country.
The detentions are the result of a joint investigation by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra and the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
The suspects are men aged between 38 and 66 and one woman, aged 43, from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. All had previously been convicted by the courts, including for offenses under the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction.
