The incident occurred at the end of last week. A man walking through the forest between Bielanka and Pieszków came across a suspicious-looking piece of metal. He notified the police.

An officer from the Non-Establishment Group for Mine and Pyrotechnic Reconnaissance of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski was immediately dispatched to the scene. He confirmed that the find was a remnant of World War II.
It turned out to be an approximately 100-kilogram aerial bomb. Bolesławiec bomb disposal specialists took care of the dangerous find.
