On Sunday, 8 May, a Family Festival was held on the square in front of the Village Community Center in Golnice. The weather was fine, and so were the moods; the event’s participants had a wonderful time. One of the attractions was the Village Head’s Cup run. The competition was won by Tomaszów Bolesławiecki resident Patryk Woźny.
The following female vocalists performed on stage: Martyna Janiec (accompanied by Patryk Woźny), Agnieszka Miszkiewicz and Alicja Kołacz, as well as a vocal ensemble from Kraśnik Górny (comprising: Marcysia Stec, Basia Augustyniak, Marcelina Augustyniak and Marlena Stępień).
There was no shortage of sporting excitement either. A football match was played between Foliówki-Wielorazówki and Kalesoniarze-Krawaciarze. The match ended with a 3–2 victory for Foliówki. The event’s participants also had the opportunity to compete in skill-based events such as barrel rolling and unclipping pegs.
Folklore enthusiasts had no reason to complain either. The Żeliszów Ensemble performed that day. The festival concluded with a dance party. The event was organized by the village head of Golnice, the Village Council, the Housewives’ Association in Golnice, and the Municipal Culture and Sport Centre in Bolesławiec with its registered office in Kruszyn.
