As reported by the Bolesławiec police, there were no reports to 112 on this matter that day.
That same day – on Friday evening – we received two reports concerning the same issue. The first Reader wrote:
Please raise the issue of a group of young people on bicycles and scooters. They gathered on the lawn by Asnyka Street, at the site where there used to be a ceramic fountain, and then headed down through the town towards the Market Square at high speed. The incident took place at around 6 p.m.
And commented:
Because of groups of “thugs” “terrorising” pedestrians on pavements, it is frightening to leave the house.
And added:
I am an able-bodied person, but what are elderly people supposed to do when, because of health limitations, they are unable to get out of the way of a speeding scooter or bicycle?
A young man riding at the front of the group used an audible warning signal, and thanks to that no one was injured.
The Reader noted that he had spoken about it with a policewoman, but she was apparently busy with another intervention at that moment.
About 1.5 hours later, another Reader wrote to us:
