Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn identified and detained a suspect in the theft of an electric bicycle. Unit:
The incident occurred in August this year in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality during the afternoon. The perpetrator was riding his bicycle past the victim’s property when he noticed an electric bicycle in the yard and an open entrance gate, and decided to steal it.
Near the scene of the crime, he abandoned his own bicycle and switched to his loot. The value of the stolen property was PLN 3,000.
As the officers established, the 42-year-old perpetrator sold the property obtained through the crime. The resident of Bolesławiec County was charged and provided explanations regarding the case.
The theft carries a penalty of up to five years in prison.
