Officers of the Customs and Tax Service from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław stopped a delivery van for inspection on the A4 motorway near Jędrzychowice. – The driver declared that he was transporting food products from Spain – explains Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, press spokeswoman for the Lower Silesian KAS.
After inspecting the vehicle, the officers found boxes in the cargo area containing vacuum-packed green dried plant material. Tests confirmed that it was marijuana.
The officers seized 155 kg of drugs. The black-market value of the seized drugs is more than PLN 7.5 million.

At the Prosecutor's Office of the Lower Silesian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption in Wrocław, the detained man was charged with intra-Community smuggling and possession of significant quantities of drugs.
The driver faces up to 20 years in prison.
