Officers from the Independent Prevention Subunit in Legnica, while patrolling Bolesławiec, noticed a driver who, upon seeing the police car, changed direction and hurriedly left the vehicle. The reason for the driver's unusual behavior quickly became clear.
– The 35-year-old committed an offense by getting behind the wheel, as he is subject to two court-imposed driving bans issued by the District Court in Legnica and the District Court in Złotoryja – reports Sub-Inspector Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
It also came to light that the vehicle driven by the Bolesławiec resident did not have a valid technical inspection.
The local resident now faces up to 5 years in prison.
