On Sunday, 7 September 2025, at around 1:00 p.m., the incident occurred. Police officers who were securing the route of the harvest festival procession in Prochowice noticed an agricultural tractor driving towards them. – The vehicle was driven by a Prochowice resident known to the officers, who was subject to an active ban on driving all motor vehicles, yet decided to get behind the wheel – explains Senior Staff Sergeant Monika Kaleta from the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The situation was all the more outrageous because the tractor’s passengers were the driver’s children. The father later explained that he wanted to “give his children some fun.”
As it turned out, the driver was not carrying any documents. (The tractor itself belonged to his father.) What is more, the vehicle did not have a valid technical inspection; there were also discrepancies related to its markings. The result? The officers electronically confiscated the vehicle registration certificate.
– Additionally, after checking the police information systems, it was confirmed that besides the active court ban, the man also had a decision from the local district governor revoking his driving privileges – the spokeswoman adds.
The Prochowice resident will now answer before the court for his irresponsible behavior, while the police will clarify the discrepancies related to the vehicle’s markings.
Officers:
Breaking court bans is a criminal offense. By getting behind the wheel without a license, you put yourself and other road users at risk. It is particularly outrageous when risky behavior takes place in the presence of children, who should always be safe and protected.
