Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a vehicle for inspection after it was recorded traveling on the motorway at more than 175 km/h.
– The driver was a 32-year-old Ukrainian citizen who committed an offense by driving despite a court-imposed ban and a decision revoking his driving privileges – explains Sub-Inspector Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec. – The conviction concerned an intervention carried out by Bolesławiec police officers in 2024 in connection with this man driving while intoxicated.
Yesterday, officers from the police station in Kruszno brought the suspect before the court under expedited proceedings, where he received another ruling from the Polish justice system.
The station chief submitted a request to the commander of the Border Guard to issue a decision obliging the foreign national to return to his country. The detained man was handed over by the police officers to Border Guard officials from Zgorzelec.
