Bolesławiec traffic police, patrolling the A4 motorway on Friday afternoon, spotted a motorcyclist travelling at high speed. Police headquarters: “The officers measured his speed using a video recorder, which showed more than 210 km/h, while the speed limit on this section is 140 km/h.
The 39-year-old motorcyclist, a German citizen, was stopped. He was travelling to Wrocław for the weekend to visit his girlfriend.
That was not the end of it. The officers said: “A check of police databases showed that this was not his first violation of regulations on Polish roads. Several months ago, he was also stopped for significantly exceeding the speed limit.
The police patrol fined the repeat traffic offender 5,000 zlotys and awarded him 15 penalty points. The officers concluded: “The two-wheeler enthusiast now has to be very careful, because he is just one penalty point away from losing his driving licence.
