Traffic police attempted to stop a motorcyclist for a roadside check. The officers had noticed that he was overtaking another vehicle directly at an intersection. – However, despite the light and sound signals ordering him to stop the vehicle, the rider decided to flee – reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters.

As he travelled towards Lubań County, the motorcyclist committed further traffic offences, repeatedly exceeding the speed limit and at times reaching more than 220 km/h on the speedometer.

Spokesperson: – The rider stopped in one of the towns in a neighbouring county. It turned out that he was a 31-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County who was subject to a court-imposed driving ban and whose driving privileges had been revoked by a decision of the county governor.

He will now answer before the court for the crimes and offences he committed. He could face up to five years in prison.

Officers: – We remind you that stopping for a roadside check is an obligation, not a choice.
