The incident occurred on Monday, April 11, on the A4 motorway. At around 9:00 a.m., police stopped a truck driven by a 53-year-old resident of Wałbrzych for a traffic check. The man, transporting 30,000 liters of diesel fuel, was driving in the middle of the road. As it turned out, he was drunk. He had more than one per mille of alcohol in his system.
The man from Wałbrzych was taken into police custody. As portal Istotne.pl learned, the Bolesławiec District Prosecutor’s Office will seek to have the 53-year-old punished under an expedited procedure. He faces up to two years in prison.
