On 30 July 2025, an agreement was signed for the implementation of the investment project entitled “Insulation works at the School Boarding House building in Bolesławiec” as part of the investment task “Adapting the buildings of organizational units to fire safety and sanitary requirements”.

The contractor selected through a procurement procedure was MST Firma Usługowo-Budowlana Tomasz Budzik, based in Bolesławiec. The value of the agreement is PLN 129,000.00, and the deadline for completion of the works was set at three months from the date of signing the agreement.

The investment includes, among other things:

  • excavation and installation of damp-proof insulation around the building,
  • demolition of old concrete elements, railings, surfaces and inspection chambers,
  • installation of vertical insulation using modern materials: antifungal impregnation, KMB insulation, XPS polystyrene boards, dimpled membrane and new light wells for basement windows,
  • renovation of the walls of the external stairs, including removal of damaged plaster and joints and protection of the surfaces with biocidal and anti-salt preparations,
  • new plaster and mosaic finishing for the building plinth,
  • replacement of the doors to the heating plant room,
  • installation of new surfaces—pavements, stairs and an access ramp for people with disabilities, along with the installation of a new railing.

The investment is being financed from the own funds of Bolesławiec County and forms part of a broader programme to modernize and adapt county buildings to current fire safety and sanitary standards. The works are intended not only to improve user safety, but also to increase the comfort of using the facility.
