The District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra is conducting an investigation into a case involving a 37-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra suspected of committing robbery theft against her 92-year-old neighbor. – The investigation has established that on July 26, 2025, in Jelenia Góra, the suspect, while in her neighbor’s apartment, took a wallet lying on the table containing PLN 560. When the wallet’s owner realized what had happened, she tried to take back her property – reports Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska, press spokesperson for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra. – The suspect used physical force against her – she pushed her, causing her to fall to the floor, and then fled in an unknown direction.
As a result of the incident, the victim fortunately did not suffer any serious injuries. However, given her age, she was taken to hospital. The prosecutor: – The doctor found general bruising, resulting in a health disorder lasting less than seven days.
The suspect was arrested later that same day by officers of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra. After being brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, she was charged with robbery theft committed while reoffending and causing bodily injuries to the victim, resulting in a health disorder lasting less than seven days.
The woman partially admitted to the offense with which she was charged. She gave an explanation. She had previously been convicted by the courts multiple times for similar offenses.
At the request of the District Prosecutor in Jelenia Góra, the court remanded her in temporary custody for three months. The suspect faces a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
