On Sunday morning, the duty officer at the Lwówek command received an unusual report. In Gryfów Śląski, an older man using a wheelchair became stuck under an overpass and was obstructing traffic. The command:
👮♂️👮♀️ The police officers who arrived at the scene quickly established that the batteries in the 65-year-old’s electric wheelchair had run out. He could not move, and the situation was dangerous both for him and for other road users.
And adds:
👉 In line with the police motto “We Help and Protect,” officers from Gryfów took the elderly man home. In addition, a patrol from Lwówek Śląski arrived at the scene and, thanks to its larger police vehicle, transported his wheelchair as well.
Thanks to the officers’ quick and empathetic response, the man returned home safely.
