The incident occurred in the morning in Zgorzelec. – As police officers determined, the 60-year-old driver failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions, hit a safety barrier and drove onto the roundabout – reports Superintendent Agnieszka Goguł, spokesperson for the Commander of the County Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec. – Fortunately, he damaged only the windscreen.
He adds: – The tanker does not pose a threat to traffic and will be removed from the scene later, once safe transport has been arranged.
The driver was fined. The officers: – We remind everyone to obey the regulations and exercise caution – especially at night, near pedestrian crossings, intersections and roundabouts, particularly during rainfall, when the road surface is slippery.
