The incident took place on 10 July on provincial road no. 36 in Prochowice. As established by the police:
The driver of the Chevrolet, leaving a minor road, ignored the mandatory right-turn sign and attempted to turn left. As a result of this maneuver, he drove directly in front of a truck traveling correctly from Lubin toward Wrocław.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene. The Chevrolet driver was taken to hospital. During police procedures, it was established that the man did not have a driving licence and was under the influence of drugs.
