Officers of the Road Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec Police unit monitor traffic on the county’s roads every day. The officers check vehicle speeds, drivers’ sobriety, the technical condition of vehicles and drivers’ licences.
Last weekend, road patrols checked, among other things, whether drivers travelling through built-up areas were complying with the 50 km/h speed limit.
A 26-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was driving at 105 km/h in one of the rural settlements. He was stopped for inspection by a police patrol and lost his driving licence for three months.
In addition, he was fined PLN 1,500 and received 13 penalty points.
