As readers report, waste caught fire again at the landfill of the former Prodigo company in the industrial zone. One of the several-metre-high piles of waste caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished. Eight fire service units were dispatched to the incident: six units from Gromadka Municipality and two from the Bolesławiec district fire service.
Let us recall that in 2022, firefighters spent 10 days extinguishing a waste fire at Prodigo. It was the largest fire extinguished in the Bolesławiec district in years. Several dozen fire service units from across the Lower Silesian Voivodeship fought the blaze.
