The incident occurred on Tuesday, at approximately 4:45 p.m., at kilometre 85.8 of the A4 motorway (in the direction from Zgorzelec). As the police department reports:
The driver of a Mercedes remembered about the exit onto the S3 at the last moment. Unfortunately, a lack of concentration and sudden manoeuvres on the motorway could have ended tragically.
But it immediately adds: – This time, “only” the infrastructure and the vehicle were damaged; there were no casualties.
The officers appeal to drivers:
- Take frequent breaks, watch the signs carefully and don’t leave decisions until the last moment!
- Exits on motorways don’t appear out of nowhere—they are announced well in advance!
- Reach your destination safely!
