In the petition, which has been circulating on social media for several days, the signatories appeal to the National Electoral Commission to verify the results of the presidential election held in June 2025. According to the initiators, numerous reports received from members of electoral commissions and observers may indicate shortcomings that, in their view, could have affected the final result.
“We demand transparency and honesty—fundamental values in a democratic state governed by the rule of law,” the petition’s authors write. Among the main allegations, they list incorrect protocols, problems with the IT system and discrepancies between results from local commissions and the data published by the National Electoral Commission.
The petition is available on the Avaaz platform and can be signed at this address: avaaz.org
The initiative is quickly gaining popularity—thousands of citizens signed the petition within its first few days. Comments posted beneath the appeal reflect growing public concern and the need for a full explanation of how the vote was conducted.
The National Electoral Commission has not yet officially responded to the petition. The organizers announce that they will submit the collected signatures to the National Electoral Commission together with an official request to take control measures.
